Well having realised that July seems to have produced a scary card mountain, I was rather happy to come up with a simple design that could be repeated for the kids' various teachers & teaching assistants:
I used some card blanks left in a mixed set I got some years ago from QVC; 3 square (approx 10cm) & an A6 one. I cut floral rounds using the largest die from the Spellbinders Shapabilities Floral Doily Motifs set, plus the 2nd largest die from Nesties Labels Seventeen. Then put them all back through the bug using the Cuttlebug Thanks Words embossing folder. Then it was just a case of edging the shapes & the card blanks with a little ink - Tsukineko Brilliance in Pearlescent Purple, Orchid & Lime plus Faded Jeans Distress Ink - et voila! Simple enough to replicate in the event that my son decides that he wants to give one to his teaching assistant afterall.
By my reckoning, I've got about another 4 cards to make this month including a commission for son's first birthday for which I'm also making a card from me, plus one for a 16y/o nephew- thinking cap back on for single brain cell...C'mon mojo, you haven't let me down so far, keep going...
